Honest to blog?

With free time comes a greater variety of time wasters, my recent favourites being my every growing addiction to all things blog. It started off fairly innocently after trawling through interior design blogs to find inspiration for my imaginary house that has yet to exist. But then something changed. Suddenly I found myself with a 100 picture thick folder on my computer inconspiciously hidden under the alias 'things'. I nervously clicked on the folder to see what I had nonchalontaly saved, only to find an array of quaintly worn summer garden huts surrounded by bushes of hibiscus flowers, window seats hidden amongst achingly satisfying mounds of books whose covers themselves told a story, and duck egg blue Aga's housing an array of copper saucepans. But it didn't stop there. No, next came the treehouse searches, the blanket fort competitions, and the cabin porn, all displaying heart-filled, cluttered collections of materials; natural and personal...fairy lights, record players, handmade quilts. It didn't take long before I had an image of myself pottering around a kitchen wearing a 50s housewife style apron, making homemade lemonade served in jam jars to the smiling guests in my blossoming garden. So obviously I had to jump straight onto Nigella's website which is the ultimate A grade crack for ridiculous homely fantasies, and bookmarked about 50 recipes which I will never make for my flock of adoring guests. So this obsession went on for a while, hours spent clicking link after link of pretty little houses and food I can't afford, until I reached my ultimate new obsession...Alie & Georgia. Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark are immaculately presented best friends from L.A. who gained fame through their inventive cocktail making skills in the viral video The McNuggetini and have since gone on to create a web series for Cooking Channel Tv, amongst various other ventures. Now Alie & Georgia are everything I love in people...namely that they're funny, ballsy and slightly batshit crazy...but best of all they do this whilst getting drunk and doing awesome stuff.
